Featuring new releases from up-and-coming pop stars, the promotion targeted the heavy-user youth market. This was one of Coca-Cola's all-time most popular summer promotions.
Coca-Cola's "Medals & Music" Olympic Promotion combined the music of 18 artists with the broadcast of the Summer Olympic Games. Winning certificates redeemable for compact discs and cassettes were randomly seeded in 20 million Coke packages.
